Ausmed Education awarded 18th place in Australian Financial Review’s ’50 Most Innovative Companies list of 2017.
MELBOURNE, VIC – Ausmed Education has placed 18th in the Australian Financial Review’s ’50 Most Innovate Companies’ list for 2017. Ausmed is the only education company to make the list.
With 32 employees, Ausmed is the equal-smallest company to make the list, tying with Custom Innovation Co, who ranked 3rd for Best Innovation Culture.
Ausmed’s Online Director Will Egan, who attended the AFR awards night in Sydney on Tuesday, commented on the scope and standard of the competition. “[Ausmed is] punching well above our weight. There were over 1,000 entrants from across Australia and New Zealand,” Egan said.
Ausmed was considered for the most Innovative Company in Australia for their unique approach to providing healthcare professionals with new technology to achieve their mandatory continuing professional development quotas. The Ausmed CPD platform and app combines healthcare education and software engineering to solve a problem that has plagued health professionals since 2010 when mandatory CPD was introduced in Australia.
Topping the list this year was marketing and advertising company, M&C Saatchi, for their innovative NRMA Fireblanket prototype, designed to sense bushfires and provide 24/7 early warnings to those in its path.
